What is an IOP Program in Orange County?
IOP stands for an intensive outpatient program. It’s a type of rehabilitation that’s used to help people who have been struggling with drug and alcohol abuse. IOPs differ from other types of rehab in that they allow the patients who are participating in them to sleep at home at night.
IOP Treatment & Rehab
A typical IOP will ask you to spend your days receiving treatment at a facility. But your nights will be your own. This means you’ll have some extra freedom that isn’t usually available to patients participating in inpatient rehab programs.
IOPs begin after a patient has already completed detox. They often include therapy, educational seminars, counseling, and sometimes holistic healing treatments. The exact types of care that you receive during an IOP will vary based on where you decide to pursue treatment.
